On 4/14/2003, I chopped off my hair for the second time.
I cut my hair off for a couple of reasons. I had bits and pieces of heat-damaged hair scattered throughout my napps and I no longer wanted long hair. At the time, the weather is starting to warm up & I really enjoyed the short cut.
In this picture my “Twist-Out” is about:
(6″ long in the top – stretched out)
(5″ long on the sides – stretched out)
(4″ long in the back/nape area – stretched out)
I also used the following products to achieve this style:
- Shampoo Dr. Bronners Lavender or Tea Tree castile soap
- Conditioner (I mixed the following together in a bowl: Paul Mitchell Humectress, Vegetable Glycerin, honey, olive oil, and caster oil I mixed all of these ingredients into a bowl and apply it to my hair after I shampoo. Sorry – I didn’t measure. After applying the conditioner I put on a plastic cap & left it on under a head wrap while I ran my errands. Afterwards, my hair is very soft, de-tangled, and moisturized.
- Styling: I applied a little Carol’s Daughter Healthy Hair Butter on my hair while it was soaking wet and twisted my hair in about 25 twists. My hair air dried overnight. I untwisted the next morning and added some Carol’s Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey for a little shine.
